Maria Politano is a writer, producer, and actress. She has written about Italian cinema for America Oggi and supported N.I.C.E., the New Italian Cinema Event. In 2013, Maria curated the exhibition for the 50th anniversary of Luchino Visconti's "The Leopard,” at NYU’s Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo.
Maria is currently producing her first feature documentary. She has also written and produced three short films: “Contrail” and “Nothing Personal” were each selected to multiple film festivals; and her third short is in pre-production.
Maria has a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Bologna, and a Masters in Educational Theatre from NYU. Born in Turin, she lives in Brooklyn, New York.
